Being able to access information instantly has its advantages however I advise you to be cautious with this power and use it responsibly. Your body is going through so many changes, from sore shoulders, bleeding nose and gums, swelling, feeling tired all the time, discharge… it’s endless! The temptation to Google every change has thus far got the better of me each time. The internet is full of websites and forums on pregnancy, so it’s very easy to self-diagnose and panic. It can also be reassuring and comforting, but the most important thing is to know your body and trust your instinct. If you’re worried about anything, always call your midwife or visit your GP – it’s always worth it.
I love the Tommy’s website and the NHS for when I have any concerns but I also enjoy reading conversations in forums – its comforting to know that other women are going through/were going through the same as you. Again, always consult a health professional before following any advice online.
