Recognising Palestine: The Ghost of Britain’s Past

Lest we forget, the British and its fellow white European colonisers carved up the whole of Africa, and parts of Asia, creating borders and nations that are still in conflict today. What is the point of even learning history in Britain, if in 2025 we are still making the same mistakes as 1884. White men don’t get to tell us how to govern our lands. Sudan, Congo, Kashmir, and Palestine are live examples of the conflicts imperialism has left in its wake. Our blood is not cheap and our resistance is defined by us, not your recognition of us.

Contentions with Language: manipulating words & ideas to manufacture consent

I’m tired of always having to centre, and even consider, the feelings of those who consistently oppress and dehumanize us in all my conversations. I’m tired of even hearing the prefixes of condemnation and apologists about hostages before feeling safe enough to speak about the atrocities that are happening daily in Gaza, the West bank, Lebanon, Yemen and Syria. To me it’s audacious to even say “Israeli victims” when speaking about the genocide the illegal state is carrying out. Israel is a settler colonial, apartheid state. It’s indecent to expect me to have sympathy for the people who are oppressing my people.

Terrorism, thy name is White Supremacy

If paragliders represent Hamas surly these racist slogans are akin to the values of proscribed groups such as National Action, a white supremist neo-Nazi group encouraging race wars. They posted tweets in 2016 in connection with the murder of Jo Cox just as these terrorists are openly talking about “taking out” antiracist campaigners today.
